Engine Oils

Engine oils allow the moving parts in your car to move freely without sticking, grinding or causing friction. Modern engines are very precise machines and require a high quality engine oil to keep them performing to maximum capability. Check your oil every month using the dipstick. The best way to do this is to check it when the engine is warm and paarked on a level surface. Take the dipstick out, wipe it and put it back in then take it out again to check the level. This will show you whether you have the right amount of oil in your vehicle or if you need a top up. Be sure to purchase the correct type of oil for your car, as putting the wrong specification in can lead to expensive engine damage. Cars are designed to use a specific grade of oil so it is important to follow the manufacturer's recommendations.
